Dr. Pradeep, Clinical Director

Dr. Pradeep V. R. holds a bachelor's degree, a master’s degree, and a PhD in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology from Dr. M.V. Shetty College of Speech and Hearing at Mangalore University.

He has over ten years of experience in speech therapy and audiology, having worked at several esteemed institutions, including Vikram ENT Hospital & Research Institute, M.C.V. Memorial ENT Trust, Coimbatore Child Trust, Masonic Medical Center for Children, and PSG Vishnugranthi. He has held the position of head of the department and was responsible for the Tamil Nadu Cochlear Implant Program at Vikram ENT Hospital & Research Institute. Moreover, he has conducted more than 1,000 NRT, switch-on, mapping, and AVT therapies for individuals with cochlear implants.

His vast set of skills includes performing diagnostic testing on adult, geriatric, and paediatric patients using standard pure tone audiometry, speech audiometry, immittance audiometry, and otoacoustic emissions (OAEs) for diagnostic purposes. He has conducted cochlear implant and middle ear implant evaluations to determine candidacy for implantation. He is also accomplished in completing initial activations, follow-up programming, performance testing, and troubleshooting for all Cochlear Implant devices.

He provides hearing aid consultations, selections, fittings using speech mapping, counseling, follow-up, troubleshooting, and programming adjustments for patients of varying ages and levels of need and has also counselled patients regarding assistive listening devices, including FM system technology. Dr. Pradeep evaluates patients via electrophysiological measures, including auditory brainstem response (ABR) testing as well as vestibular evoked myogenic potential (VEMP) testing. He is proficient in universal hearing screening protocols as well as testing newborn children via screening and threshold ABR tests.

Shailaja is a trained and experienced professional in counselling and rehabilitation of speech, language, and swallowing problems. Her clinical interests include swallowing disorders in children and adults, motor speech disorders, acquired adult language disorders following stroke and traumatic brain injury, voice disorders in children and adults, speech, language, and listening therapy for the hearing impaired.

With a Masters in Audiology from Bangalore University, she is conversant in dealing with the diagnosis and detection of the nature and extent of hearing impairment in both paediatric and geriatric populations. She is experienced in successfully carrying out standard diagnostic tests. Her areas of interest include diagnostic audiology, electrophysiological assessment, cochlear implants, auditory verbal therapy, and complete rehabilitation for individuals with speech, hearing, and language disorders.

Keerthi M. Nair’s skill set includes identifying and rehabilitating hearing problems. She is accomplished with comprehensive knowledge of the treatment process and procedures for speech and hearing disabilities. Neonatal hearing screening is also one of her areas of expertise.
